ABOUT
cultureclub.design is a design studio that explores the possibilities of spatial experiences and form. Drawing on our experience of running ‘Culture Club’—a venue combining a bar and gallery in Nakazakicho, Osaka—we specialise in the design and direction of spaces where diverse cultures intersect, encompassing the food and drink industry, art, music, crafts and events. What we value most is approaching things whose value has not yet been fully established, or objects overlooked in everyday life, with love and a sense of romance. By reinterpreting the relationships between materials, places and people, we nurture these spaces into venues where people gather and where conversation and events unfold. Rather than forcing them into pre-established moulds, our core approach is to identify the potential inherent in each location and bring it to life as a space or project.


cultureclub.designは、空間における体験と造形の可能性を探るデザインスタジオ。 大阪・中崎町でバーとギャラリーを併設した「カルチャークラブ」を運営した経験を起点に、飲食、アート、音楽、工芸、イベントなど、異なる文化が交わる場所のデザインとディレクションを行っている。 私たちが大切にしているのは、まだ価値が定まりきっていないコトや、日常の中で見過ごされているモノに対し、愛とロマンを持って向き合うことである。素材、場所、人の関係を読み替えながら、それを人が集まり、会話や出来事が生まれる場へと育てていく。完成された形式に当てはめるのではなく、その場にある可能性を見つけ、空間や企画として立ち上げることを活動の軸としている。
