Using fabric—a soft material—we reimagined the relationship between music and space to create an immersive musical experience that parents and children can enjoy together. By layering the memories of nature lingering in the city with the nostalgia residing in children’s senses, we constructed the space through organic curves and light drapery. The design—which features elements that cannot be climbed but allow one to sense changes in elevation, as well as gate-like fabric arrangements that invite one to pass through—guides physical movement and the line of sight, creating rhythm and a sense of expansiveness within the experience. The children, unaware of the boundary between stage and audience, responded physically to the performers’ movements and sounds, resulting in a concert where the entire venue functioned as a unified whole.
親子で楽しめる没入型の音楽体験を、布という柔らかな素材を用いて、音楽と空間の関係性を編み替えた。都市に残る自然の記憶と、こどもたちの感覚に宿るノスタルジアを重ね、有機的な曲線と軽やかなドレープによって空間を立ち上げる。登ることはできないが高低差を感じる構成や、くぐりたくなるゲート状の布の配置が、身体の動きと視線を導き、体験にリズムと広がりを生む。子供たちは舞台と客席の境界を意識せず、演者の動きや音に対して身体で応答し、場全体が一体となって機能するコンサートとなった。
