Interior design for a select shop planned within an island section of a commercial facility.Despite constraints including existing pillar shapes, fixed ceiling lighting, and strict sightline regulations, the design leveraged these limitations to create an openness unique to island layouts. The façade naturally draws visitors from the concourse, inviting passersby to sense its presence and stop in. Inside, a combination of movable and fixed fixtures creates a gallery-like space with high display potential. Materials like wood, iron, and plaster enhance the merchandise, while pendant lights layered over the existing lighting improve visibility and add symbolic impact.
商業施設内の島区画に計画したセレクトショップの内装設計。
既存の柱型や天井照明を変更できず、見通し規制も厳しい条件下にあったが、その制約を前提に島区画ならではの開放性を引き出した。コンコースから自然に引き込むファサードとし、歩行者が気配を感じながら立ち寄れる構成とした。店内は可変什器と据え置き什器を組み合わせ、展示性の高いギャラリーショップのような空間を目指した。木、鉄、左官といった素材で商品を引き立て、家具に抱き合わせたペンダント照明で視認性と象徴性を高める。囲わないことで、どんな店舗づくりができるかを検討したデザインである。
