I designed the entrance for the inaugural ‘NEW ENERGY OSAKA’ event in Osaka. My approach focused on designing the very experience of welcoming visitors. From afar, orange fabric—the event's signature color—stretches out in a continuous line, with light occasionally darting through the gaps. As visitors approach, the light ripples in response to the surrounding laughter and footsteps, making them aware of their own presence shaping the space. Taking another step forward, the fabric gently sways, and the light begins to move with the footsteps, creating the sensation that the space itself is welcoming the visitor. The moment one passes through the fabric corridor, a bustling market spreads out before them, designed as an experience that draws visitors in by transcending the boundary between inside and outside.
大阪初開催となる『NEW ENERGY OSAKA』のイベント会場エントランスのデザインを担当した。訪れる人を迎え入れる体験そのものをデザインすることを意識して取り組んだ。遠くからは、イベントカラーであるオレンジの布が連なり、時折そのあいだから光が走る。それは近づくと、周囲に響く笑い声や足音に呼応して光が揺らぎ、自らの存在が空間に作用していることに気づく。さらに一歩踏み出せば、布がふわりと揺れ、足音とともに光が動き出し、まるで空間そのものが来場者を歓迎しているかのような感覚を生む。布の回廊を抜けた瞬間、眼前には賑わうマーケットが広がり、内と外の境界を越える体験として来場者を引き込む構成とした。
